How Your Health Plan Works
Discover how you can get the most out of your plan.
It's great to have you aboard as a member of the WEA Trust. Sooner or later, you may need to file a claim, request prescription drugs, or simply let a health care provider know what plan you're enrolled in. Now's the time to acquaint yourself with your plan and find out how to receive care and how bills are paid. We do our best to keep everything simple and convenient.
How to receive medical care and prescription drugs
After enrolling in a Trust health plan, we will welcome you with a packet of materials, including your insurance ID card. Keep your ID card handy; you will need it to obtain medical care and prescription drugs.
How to ensure your bills are paid
It's easy. Your provider will submit claims directly to the Trust. We'll then process the claim pay for covered services and send you an Explanation of Benefits (EOB) form. You'll be able to quickly view the:
- Date you received the service
- Amount we paid to your provider
- Any coinsurance or deductible amounts
- Any amount you are responsible for paying
When you obtain prescription drugs at your pharmacy, they submit the bill electronically to the Trust's prescription drug administrator, CVS Caremark. The pharmacy will be informed of any applicable copayment(s) you must make before obtaining your drugs, and they are reimbursed for any remaining balance.
