How Your State Health Plan Works
Discover how you can get the most out of your plan.
For State Health Plan members, the WEA Trust administers Uniform Benefits, a package of benefits set by the Wisconsin Group Insurance Board. A complete description of those benefits can be found in the "It's Your Choice: Reference Guide," published by the Department of Employee Trust Funds (ETF).
Your benefits can vary depending on which type of employee you are. A complete description of your insurance benefits can be found here:
How to receive medical care
After enrolling in a Trust health plan, we will welcome you with a packet of materials, including your insurance ID card. Keep your ID card handy; you will need it to obtain medical care.
Your drug plan
The state of Wisconsin has selected Navitus, a pharmacy benefits manager, to administer the prescription drug coverage for all health plans. You will need to use your Navitus identification card when you fill prescriptions. Log on to Navitus.com to learn more.
How your bills are paid
It's easy. Your provider will submit claims directly to the Trust. We'll then process the claim, pay for covered services, and send you an Explanation of Benefits (EOB) form. You'll be able to quickly view the:
- Date you received the service
- Amount we paid to your provider
- Any coinsurance or deductible amounts
- Any amount you are responsible for paying
