Other Insurance Coverage


Inform us about other insurance coverage

It’s essential for the Trust to know when you or a family member are covered under more than one insurance plan so we can coordinate benefits with the other insurer. Only when we receive this necessary information from you can we coordinate benefits correctly.

That’s why it’s imperative for you to complete any questionnaire you receive from the Trust inquiring about additional insurance coverage you may have. Also, the Trust should be notified promptly if any member of your family who is covered by your Trust health or dental plan acquires coverage under another group plan.

The Trust, along with other insurers, follows the rules established by the State of Wisconsin in determining which insurance plan pays first, which plan pays second, etc. If we pay as a primary insurer when we are the secondary insurer, we may need to ask you to refund money we have paid in error.
