What's covered

Under the Trust group long term care plan, you can receive care services in a variety of settings including:
  • Nursing home
  • Alternate care facility (e.g., group home)
  • At home
  • Hospice care facility
  • Adult day care facility
We will pay for services in only one of these settings per day, except in the case of respite care (see below). If you receive covered services in any of these settings, you will be required to pay a copayment plus any charges that exceed the daily maximum benefit (currently $241.16*) under the policy. The daily maximum benefit is the total dollar amount that the plan will pay per day for your covered long term care services.

If you receive regular care from someone who lives with you 24 hours a day and who is not paid for providing this care, you may be eligible for respite care benefits. This pays a specified amount (currently $119.73*) for not more than 14 days per benefit period to someone who replaces your usual caregiver while he or she takes a rest or vacation from providing care. This benefit is the only one that can be paid to a non-licensed provider or a family member, and it is the only benefit that can be paid in addition to home health care or adult day care benefits for the same day.
