Who we are

The WEA Trust isn't just a great name for an insurance company -- it's an ideal. Since 1970, Wisconsin public school employees and their families have come to count on the Trust for insurance and financial services. Created by the Wisconsin Education Association Council (WEAC), the Trust offers members an alternative to commercial products.
Our organization
Headquartered in Madison, Wisconsin, the Trust is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to building financial security for Wisconsin's public school employees. A Board of Trustees - all public school employees - oversees Trust operations and serves without financial compensation. As educators, they understand the needs of public school employees, and are able to use that knowledge to ensure that Trust members get high quality and great value in insurance and financial services.
Our members
Members of the Trust have one important thing in common - they are associated with Wisconsin public schools. They are either employees or family members of Wisconsin public school employees.
Our products and services
Whether it's health insurance, a retirement savings program, or individual insurance products, enhancing the financial welfare of Wisconsin's public school employees is our main concern. We offer comprehensive benefits backed by exceptional customer service.
Insurance
The Trust offers group health, dental, life, long term disability, short term disability, and long term care insurance plans. These group plans are available to members through bargaining between their local union and their employer. Individual insurance products such as auto, homeowners, renters, and additional liability are also available through WEA Trust Member Benefits.
Retirement and investment services
The Trust's tax-sheltered annuity (TSA) program is a unique way to invest pretax dollars using a Guaranteed Investment and selected mutual funds. The Trust also offers the WEAC IRA featuring both traditional and Roth IRAs at an exceptional guaranteed interest rate. |
