If you're not covered by a Trust health plan

Check with your school district to find out how long you can continue your health coverage when you retire. By law, employers must offer retiring employees the right to continue group health insurance coverage for at least 18 months.
You should also consider WEA-MedPlus, a Trust health plan designed for Medicare-eligible retirees. WEA-MedPlus is a good option for people who want the Trust’s quality group coverage and the possibility of lower monthly premiums.
The cost for WEA-MedPlus depends, in part, on where you live. Your premium renewal rates will be adjusted on January 1 each year.
