Important information on dependent coverage

Your Trust health plan includes coverage for your dependent children. However, when certain circumstances change, your child may no longer be eligible for coverage as your dependent. If any of the following situations pertain to your dependent child, call the Trust at (800) 279-4000:
  • Child is not a full-time student.
  • Child will be entering the military.
  • Child is married or will be getting married.
  • Child is earning more than $1,190 a month and is NOT a full-time student.
Why you need to call
Even if your child is no longer eligible for coverage as your dependent, he or she may be eligible to continue health insurance coverage as an individual. You need to call us within 60 days of his or her ineligibility to discuss the available options.

If any of the above statements are true and you don’t notify us within 60 days, your child’s insurance coverage will end with no option for continuation.
