Vitality Program Draws Dozens to WEA Trust's Wellness Summit

MADISON, Wisconsin – More than 70 Wisconsin public employers convened at WEA Trust’s Wellness Summit on Thursday, April 14 to learn about how Vitality, the Trust’s new world-class wellness program, can impact employee health, happiness and productivity.

“The WEA Wellness Summit was well worth our time!” said Julie Lankey-Smallwood, Business Manager at the School District of Mauston. “I think the Vitality program is ‘just what the doctor ordered’ to help the School District of Mauston reward our employees for making healthy life choices.”

Vitality is an award-winning wellness platform that leverages behavioral and actuarial science to engage users. First, participants learn about their health status by calculating their health risk-related Vitality Age. Then they complete activities customized to their health and lifestyle goals—all while unlocking a series of positive rewards. Vitality is available to WEA Trust customers starting July 1, 2016.
“We were delighted to see how many of our customers champion wellness and can’t wait to use Vitality,” said Jon Klett, VP of Sales, Marketing and Product Development at WEA Trust. “I think it’s because Vitality is easy for employers to use. They have all the resources they need to make the program a success. Also, Vitality is actually fun and engaging for their employees.”

Wellness Summit attendees started their day by exploring the “Wellness @ Work” exhibit where they learned about WEA Trust’s other health and wellness services, such as 24/7 virtual doctor visits through Amwell. From there, attendees broke into smaller groups to see Vitality product demos.

“Once again, WEA Trust showed why they are rated #1 in customer service,” said Lankey-Smallwood. “From the welcome we received at arrival until the end of the day, the presentations were engaging and informative. Thanks WEA Trust for taking us to the next level of employee wellness!”

The Wellness Summit also featured Green Bay Packers Hall of Famer LeRoy Butler as the luncheon keynote speaker, wellness-related contests, and guided building tours.

The WEA Trust provides group health insurance and administrative services to public employers throughout Wisconsin. The not-for-profit WEA Trust was created in 1970 to insure Wisconsin school district employees. Today, the WEA Trust offers its top-rated service and quality benefits to all state, county, and municipal groups.
