The City of Cudahy Chooses WEA Trust as Health Insurer

Six figure savings on health care

Madison, Wisconsin - WEA Trust will welcome the city of Cudahy as a new customer effective January 1, 2017, bringing over 150 employees to the WEA Trust.  The WEA Trust’s strong reputation for customer service has continued to be a major selling point for municipalities.

“After much investigation regarding our city’s health insurance needs, and the continuing cost increases facing our community, I was pleased to receive a unanimous vote from the city of Cudahy Finance Committee to switch our health insurance to WEA Trust,” said John Hohenfeldt, the Mayor of Cudahy. “This switch is a win for our employees and taxpayers who pay a portion of the cost of providing health insurance to our employees.  We look forward to starting this new relationship and having WEA Trust take care of our insurance needs for many years to come,” Hohenfeldt added.

“As an employee benefits broker I’m always looking to find the most innovative solutions for my clients.  WEA Trust put together a great program to help municipalities and counties with their rising healthcare costs,” said Kyle Klett, broker with TRICOR Insurance.

Klett continued, “The option that TRICOR Insurance and WEA Trust partnered with was able to give the city of Cudahy more flexibility, excellent customer service, a great network, and saved them six figures on their health care.  For all of those reasons, I am confident in recommending my clients to WEA Trust.”

The WEA Trust provides group health insurance and administrative services to public employers throughout Wisconsin. The not-for-profit WEA Trust was created in 1970 to serve Wisconsin school district employees. Today, the WEA Trust offers its top-rated service and quality benefits to all state, county, and municipal groups.
