Madison, Wisconsin – WEA Trust recognizes National Teacher Appreciation Week, May 8 through May 12, 2017. Since 1984, the National Parent Teacher Association has set aside one week in May each year as a time to honor the men and women who lend their skills, passion, and time to educating children.
“Recognizing teachers for who they are and what they do is at the heart of WEA Trust,” said Jon Klett, WEA Trust Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Product Development.
The legislature designating National Teacher Appreciation Week highlights teachers in Wisconsin and across the nation as having an important and lasting impact on the lives of children— “fulfilling many roles as educators, encouragers, listeners, explorers, role models, motivators, and mentors.”
“We are honored and proud to celebrate teachers for their hard work and dedication to serving Wisconsin’s children,” Mr. Klett said. “We strive to support our members with the same passion they demonstrate each day with their teaching.”
The WEA Trust provides group health insurance and administrative services to public employers throughout Wisconsin. The not-for-profit WEA Trust was created in 1970 to serve Wisconsin school district employees.
