COVID-19 Vaccine Update: April 5 Individuals 16 and Older are Eligible

The Department of Health Services (DHS) has announced beginning April 5, all individuals ages 16 and older are eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine.


Where can you get the COVID-19 vaccine?
Local department of health mass vaccination sites and pharmacies are the preferred choice to receive your COVID-19 vaccine. To schedule a vaccination appointment, you can visit the DHS scheduling website ( or go to to see the number of vaccines available at a nearby pharmacy. You can also visit your local pharmacy or doctor’s office websites to schedule your vaccination.


Is the COVID-19 vaccine safe?

Safety has been a top priority for the COVID-19 vaccine. We have examined the FDA's vaccine trials and as of now, none of the vaccine trials have reported any serious safety concerns. You cannot develop COVID-19 from these vaccines.

How much will the COVID-19 vaccine cost?
The COVID-19 vaccine is free and available at no cost to you. You can receive the vaccine at any mass distribution site, pharmacy or your doctor’s office.
