The WEA Trust Low Back Pain Program is a scientifically based exercise program designed for members with mild to moderate
low back pain to help alleviate pain and decrease symptoms. This program is not intended to replace evaluation by your
healthcare provider for anyone whose pain began following a recent injury.
If your healthcare provider has suggested you engage in low-impact exercise to reduce your back pain, the WEA Trust Low Back
Pain Program might be a good fit for you. You can perform the exercises in your own home and at your own pace. You don’t
need special equipment or weights, and you won’t have to miss work or pay a copay for physical therapy appointments.
Exercise is recommended by the American Medical Society1 and numerous clinical studies2,3 as a first-line treatment for low
back pain. Simply stated, targeted exercise is one of the most effective treatments for low back pain. The WEA Trust Low Back
Pain Program provides fully supported exercise programs tailored to your specific type of low back pain.
